Development of yoke for “pure flat” 17‐in. CRT

Abstract

Abstract— A novel DY design for the perfectly flat‐screen “Pure Flat Tube” has been developed. The unique PSM (petal‐shaped multi‐section) saddle coils provide N/S pincushion‐distortion‐free while maintaining self‐converging function for a multi‐scanning application in display monitors. In addition, new techniques for reducing DY temperature rise and VLMF radiation have been introduced.
