The article presents the results of experimental studies to substantiate the performance of the method of simultaneous extracting excess moisture from wet leather semi-finished products. In the experiment, the influence of the feeding speed, the pressing force of the squeezing rollers on the amount of moisture removed from two layers of the leather semi-finished product after their squeezing was determined. The experiment was conducted using a moisture-removing material - a BM brand monchon, laid on a guide bar, on which two layers of the wet leather semi-finished product were previously folded. A monchon of the LASCH brand is folded between the layers of a semi-finished leather product. Due to the flexibility of the monchon, the displacement of semi-finished leather products movement path along the conveying device is reduced.

The process of deriving the equation of the perturbed motion of a roll pair during the processing of leather material is discussed in the article, taking into account the influence of dynamic factors. It is shown that one of the reasons for the unstable stress state on the contact surfaces in the roller mechanism are dynamic factors arising from inaccuracies in the manufacture of its individual parts, assembly defects, and the occurrence of an oscillatory process in the roller mechanism, as well as due to the non-uniform thickness of the processed material at its gripping during starting and stopping the machine. Methods for determining optimal controls are shown; they provide asymptotic stability of the unperturbed motion of a roll pair and the torque applied to the upper roll as a function of generalized coordinates.It is shown that the width of the contact strip of the clamp, which depends on the radii of the rolls and the hardness of the coatings, has a significant effect on the efficiency of the rolls. The larger the shaft radius, the lower the actual pressure per unit contact area. It is shown that the squeezing efficiency increases with the improvement of the conditions for the removal of the squeezable liquid from the rolls (with their horizontal arrangement), with an increase in its temperature and a decrease in viscosity. Efficiency decreases with increasing material speed and thickness. It is shown that the width of the contact strip of the clamp, which depends on the radii of the shafts and the stiffness of the coatings, has a significant impact on the efficiency of the shafts. The relevance of reducing raw cotton contamination during machine harvesting is substantiated in this article. The morphological composition of impurity elements in raw cotton, obtained during years of experience, is given; it shows that fine trash amounts to 63.93% -75.1% and is difficult to clean when processing cotton. The experimental results of a new U-shaped receiving chamber are presented, which confirm the reduction of contamination of raw cotton by up to 30% compared to serial receiving chambers. Mathematical models are presented for calculating the contamination of raw cotton using a U-shaped receiving chamber. The mechanism of impurity saturation of raw cotton during its transport in the pipes of the pneumatic transport system of the cotton harvester is substantiated. A comparison of the calculated data on the contamination of raw cotton with the experimental data obtained using a new U-shaped receiving chamber showed that the error limit is 4.8÷9.1%.
