Development of Rapid Detection and Genetic Characterization of Salmonella in Poultry Breeder Feeds

Abstract: Salmonella is a leading cause of foodborne illness in the United States, with poultry and poultry products being a primary source of infection to humans. Poultry may carry some Salmonella serovars without any signs or symptoms of disease and without causing any adverse effects to the health of the bird.
