Abstract:Microsomal epoxide hydrolase (mEH) hydrolyzes a wide range of epoxide containing molecules. Although involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics, recent studies associate mEH with the onset and development of some diseases. This phenomenon is partially attributed to the significant role mEH plays in hydrolyzing endogenous lipid mediators, suggesting more complex and extensive physiological functions. In order to obtain pharmacological tools to further study the biology and therapeutic potential of this enzyme ta… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
