Abstract:This specific kind of concrete is characterized by its interconnected pore structure and substantial void content or porosity, often ranging from 15 to 35% in terms of volume. Pervious concrete has the potential to mitigate the risk of floods, decrease storm-water runoff, attenuate noise generated by vehicle tires, and prevent glare and skidding in wet conditions by facilitating the infiltration of water via its porous structure, therefore replenishing the groundwater table.
