Abstract:Hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) is commonly used in polymer flooding, however, it is prone to viscosity reduction at high temperatures and high salinities, weakening its ability to improve oil recovery. In this work, sulfonated modified silicon quantum dots (S-SiQDs) were synthesized and then added to HPAM to study the improvement of rheological properties and enhanced oil recovery performance of HPAM at high temperatures and salinities. It is found that the S-SiQDs with a concentration of only 0.1 wt % can s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
