Abstract: Hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) is commonly used in polymer flooding, however, it is prone to viscosity reduction at high temperatures and high salinities, weakening its ability to improve oil recovery. In this work, sulfonated modified silicon quantum dots (S-SiQDs) were synthesized and then added to HPAM to study the improvement of rheological properties and enhanced oil recovery performance of HPAM at high temperatures and salinities.
