Development of Naked Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) Cultivar ‘Hogang’ with High Yield and Resistance to BaYMV

Abstract: As a result of the efforts to breed a high yield naked barley cultivar with disease and stress tolerance in response to climate change and proper double cropping of barley and rice in a paddy field. A new naked barley cultivar named 'Hogang' was developed from the cross between 'Suyoung' and 'Geukjosuk 55' at the National Institute of Crop Science, RDA, Korea, in 2016.
