Development of Multilayer Anodes for Proton-conducting Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Abstract: Advanced cermet electrodes of Ni-BaCeO.9Y0.1O2.95, suitable for Intermediate Temperature PCFC, have been elaborated using gelling starch as pore forming agent. SEM and mercury porosimetry measurements show a strong dependence of the microstructure upon the starch content. As the starch content increase, a gradual creation of percolating starch network is clearly shown.
