Development of metal organic materials for use in novel water treatment schemes

admirable, formidable, and kind, both as scientist and as person. I have learned much more than how to be a great scientist from her and for that, I am grateful. I wish her lab, and her career, all the best. I will be watching from afar. Josh de Groot and Ashini Jayasinghe were exemplary role models and I have enjoyed mild success only because they were senior to me. Madeline Basile and I began our Ph.Ds. together, and I could not have been luckier to have her along the way. I know the two of us grew quite a bit as scientists, and even more as people. Amy Charles and Sara Scheib of RWG, exposure to their bright minds, and non-chemist minds at that, is one of the major reasons I am so eager and confident to make my next move. Professor Sarah Larsen was a wonderful role model and mentor, I know she was working in the background to help get me where I am, and I am grateful. Professor Quinn's ability to captivate the organic chemistry classroom is what drew me to pursue undergraduate research in his lab. Without that experience along with the mentorship of Alex Lodge and Joe Topczewski I wouldn't be writing this right now. Jen Teitle in the graduate college helped with writing and career advice that proved instrumental. The undergrads I had the pleasure of working with: Taylor, Samantha, Maggie, Jay, and Vinny, were always an important part of the team. I worked hard to make sure they felt that way, and that they knew I was thankful for their work. The IT folks in our department often go unsung, but I would like to acknowledge them as well: Brian, Peter, and Michael often came to help quickly and always had a resolution at hand. v The grad students junior to me in Tori's lab who have helped, taught, and learned from me, I want to say thanks to you as well.
