Development of Mathematics Learning Devices by Applying Problem Based Learning to Increase Students Mathematical Solving Skills of Class VII Junior High School

Abstract: This research was motivated by the low ability of Mathematical Problem Solving (KPMM) of students. In order to improve KPMM, teachers can do designing the learning process. This study aims to develop mathematical learning tools that are valid, practical and effective. The development model used the Borg and Gall model. The research instrument consisted of syllabus validation sheets, lesson plane (RPP), student worksheet (LKPD), observability of implementation, student questionnaire responses and KPMM test inst… Show more

“…The materials are created with a focus on administrative requirements provided by the teachers without considering the intended learning objectives (Atika et al, 2020). Teachers also face difficulties in designing Student Activity Sheets (LKPD) that can help students discover their own concepts about the material being studied (Fitria et al, 2020).…”

“…The teacher is not only the deliverer of the material but the teacher can be said to be the designer of learning activities. Fitria (2020) states that most teachers have not developed learning tools that are in accordance with the 2013 curriculum and students need. Learning devices that are made are only limited to the administrative requirements provided by the teacher without paying attention to the goals to be achieved (Atika, 2020).…”
