A function test is conducted to assess the equipment's performance, component function, output, and safety. The aim of the incubator analyzer function test is to determine the performance parameters, including mattress temperature, ambient temperature, humidity, noise, and airflow. In this article, we present an analysis of a prototype incubator analyzer through a comparative test method against a standard incubator analyzer. The testing procedure adheres to SNI IEC 60601-2-19-2014, which outlines special requirements for the basic safety and essential performance of infant incubators. The incubator analyzer prototype was designed using specific components such as PT100 resistive temperature detector, single chip humidity sensor module SHT 11, airflow sensor, microphone amplifier MAX4466 as a sound sensor, and a human-machine interface Nextion display. The function test of the incubator analyzer was conducted at an authorized institution on a laboratory scale. The results indicate that the prototype achieves an accuracy of over 98% for temperature measurement and more than 94% for relative humidity at temperature settings of 32°C and 36 °C.

Worldwide, over 4 million babies die within a month of birth each year. Of these, 3.9 million are in developing countries. A proportion approximately 25% of these deaths are due to complications of premature birth, most commonly inadequate thermoregulation, water loss, and neonatal jaundice. An infant incubator provides stable temperature, relative humidity, and airflow values. A periodical calibration should be applied on infant incubator to monitor the functionality. The study aims to develop a calibration device that measures temperature, humidity, airflow, and noise in the baby incubator based on an Android application with Bluetooth communication to improve the calibration monitoring process. This is to achieve a better performance of the conventional INCU analyzer. The contribution of this research is that the values of the temperature, humidity, airflow, and noise can be displayed on both devices, the INCU analyzer machine, and mobile phone; thus, the user can monitor the measurement activities wirelessly. Furthermore, the statistical calculation for all measurements can be saved on a mobile phone device. The main design consists of temperature sensor LM35, humidity sensor DHT22, airflow sensor MPX5010DP, an analog signal conditioning circuit, an Arduino Mega microcontroller, Bluetooth module HC05, and Android mobile phone. The resulting design was compared to the standard or calibrator INCU analyzer machine (Fluke Biomedical INCU II). This study found that the smallest error is -1.72%°C, -0.106 % RH, -1.727% dB, and <0.1% m/s for temperature, humidity, noise, and airflow parameters, respectively. After the evaluation process, this device can be used as an INCU analyzer to calibrate the infant incubator.

A thermometer is a medical device used to measure body temperature. To maintain the accuracy of the thermometer measurement results, periodic calibration is required. Calibration is an activity to determine the conventional correctness of the indicator values of measuring instruments and measuring materials by comparing them with measurement standards that can be traced to national and international standards for units of measure and/or international and certified reference materials. Based on the results of the identification of chronological problems that have been observed, a body thermometer that measures body temperature is needed so and a calibrator is needed to maintain the accuracy of the thermometer. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Temperature Stability and Accuracy of the Body Thermometer Calibrator Based on on-Off Control and Fuzzy Logic Control. The contribution of this research to this tool will use the development of a fuzzy logic control method to produce temperature stability in the Body Thermometer Calibrator (Digital). The method used in this study used fuzzy control and on-off control. The results of this study from the suitability test obtained a maximum error of 0.2% in the fuzzy control and 0.6% in the On-Off control. The average rise time difference for the two controls was 13.53 Seconds. The average settling time difference is 130.46 seconds. The results of this study can be concluded that the Fuzzy System is better than the On / Off system so the Fuzzy system is more suitable for thermometer calibration media.
