Tasks. The authors show current trends and features of the involvement of Internet companies in the development of small enterprises; characterize the directions and stages of e-business formation and development; examine the features of the e-business environment for small enterprises.Methods. This study uses general scientific methods of cognition to analyze the key directions and major stages of e-business development for small enterprises.Results. It is necessary to decompose the overall program of e-business development based on the main goals and objectives of e-business development and fundamental problems to be solved. In addition, it is important to identify the appropriate approaches for developing the concept of e-business modeling.Conclusions. To implement an effective program for the development of Internet companies, it is necessary to ensure the functioning of major processes that contribute to adding business value at every stage of e-business. Doing business on the Internet involves solving a large number of problems in the context of risk and uncertainty, sanctions and restrictions.
