Development of Dynamic Three-Dimensional Multi-Pinhole Gamma Camera

Abstract: In this paper we propose a dynamic 3-D gamma camera consisting of multi-pinhole collimators and flat panel detectors. Through simulation studies on various pinhole configurations we determined that from a spatial and time resolution consideration, pinhole collimators with a 60 opening angle achieved acceptable dynamic 3-D imaging results. With regard to basic system performance, we estimated that the spatial and time resolution exceeds 3.5 mm and 4 s, respectively, for a small animal injected with 99m Tc with … Show more

“…Also presented in this paper are measurements of temperature gradient drifting characteristics of the furnace, CsI(Tl) crystal growth, and test results of energy resolution. This CsI(Tl) scintillation crystal is slightly hygroscopic and has no cleave plane properties; thus, it is useful in many applications such as radiation safety, 16) radiation imaging, 17,18) and high-energy physics. 19,20) ARTICLE II.…”
