Development of Dynamic Sediment Budget to Predict Future Shoreline Positions on a Sand Limited Shoreline in Louisiana

Abstract: A shoreline change analysis was performed along the shoreline of the chenier plain in southwestern Louisiana in an attempt to forecast future shoreline position and to determine the performance of a proposed sand beach nourishment project along the shoreline which extends 14 km west of the western jetty of Calcasieu Pass, Louisiana and runs through the community of Holly Beach, Louisiana.
