The motor skills of children can be used to determine whether or not the child's growth and development is impaired. The aim of the study to know the effect of brain jogging based learning model improving the object control skills of elementary school students. This study was conducted using an experimental method with two groups, namely control and intervention. In comparison to traditional learning models (direct instruction), the brain jogging based learning model. This study's sample consisted of the total number of students in the subject is 60. Classes 4A and 4B have similar characteristics (age, average height/weight, sports learning material, duration, and time of sports learning implementation).Data processing was conducted using SPSS IBM 26. The mean difference in the post-test result between the control and experimental group was based on the significance of the SPSS output(p<0.05). Based on the output in the Independent sample t test it is known that the value of two hand striking a stationary is 0.039 < 0.05; forehand strike of 0.009 < 0.05; one hand stationary dribble of 0.039 < 0.05; d two hand catch of 0.000 < 0.05; kick a stationary ball of 0.004 < 0.05; overhand throw of 0.002 < 0.05; underhand roll of 0.020 < 0.05. There is a significant influence statistical analysis on two hand striking stationary, forehand strike, one hand stationary dribble, two hand catch, kick a stationary ball, overhand throw, and underhand roll ability for elementary school with the Brain jogging based learning model can be one solution to improve the performance of object control skill. This study aims to test the validity and reliability of the TGMD III test instrument for measurement gross motor skill Indonesia Children. The research was conducted in July August 2023, with upper class students at state elementary school 1 of Piyungan, IDEA Kalasan Elementary School, and state elementary school of Bendungan as subjects. The sample selection technique uses Random Sampling, selected students in each class are randomly selected, bringing a total of 290 students. Validity evaluation of the agility test used empirical and content validities. Based on the empirical validity test of the Pearson moment product, the r table is 0.444, r count (test 1) is 0.819, r count (test 2) is 0.819, significance value is 0.000. If the r count is bigger than the r table and the significance value is < 0.05, it can be concluded that the result is valid. Based on the reliability test using Cronbach alpha, the r table is 0.444, Cronbach alpha is 0.99. If the Cronbach alpha value is greater than the r table, the result TGMD III instrument to measurement Gross motor skill in Indonesia Children can be said to be reliable. So that the TGMD III test has high validity and reliability results, considered valid and reliable. Trust, the TGMD III test has been fit and proper to be used to measure Gross motor skill test. it can be used for measurements in the framework of collecting data on early childhood gross motor skills in Indonesia.

Background and purpose. Various studies have investigated Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) in children and factors that might improve them. However, studies examining FMS in children of indigenous tribes remain limited. Thus, this research aims to identify and analyze the relationship between sociocultural life, parenting, and level of education among indigenous tribe children who live on Mentawai Island. The research is also keen on comparing FMS between genders. Materials and methods. This research employed qualitative and quantitative methods. It was grounded by phenomenology and FMS tests. A total of 15 parents, 3 teachers, and 70 young children (aged 5-7 years) participated voluntarily. The children’s genders comprised boys (n=38) and girls (n=32). Data in this research were collected from observation, semi-structured interviews, and FMS tests (locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative). Then, they were analyzed using a thematic method and t-test to compare the level of FMS among the children. Results. Based on the analysis, parents stated they involved their children in socio-cultural life. Also, children were educated to live independently and given freedom to play. However, the study did not find any relationship between parent’s educational level and FMS. This was evidenced by statistical analysis, in which the mean score of FMS among early childhood in Mentawai Island was 35.46 (good). Following that, boys had better FMS than girls (P<0,05), with a mean score of 37.08>33.53. Conclusions. Children need to be given the freedom to actively take part in physical activities in order to gain physical experiences and better FMS. This study recommends future research involving other factors and comparing FMS between children of indigenous tribes and those who live in urban areas.
