Development of automated control system for waste sorting

Abstract: A crucial prerequisite for recycling forming an integral part of municipal solid waste (MSW) management is sorting of useful materials from source-separated MSW. The morphological composition of the waste generated in Russia was studied. Theoretical bases of management of the waste sorting conveyor have been developed taking into account failures such as uneven loading and uneven sorting of waste. The calculation of the waste material balance was based on solving the system of Euler equations and flow control.… Show more

“…Using the CX-Designer program, a farm operator screen was developed, which reflects the current states of physical and chemical processes and equipment operation modes [9][10][11]. If the maximum permissible parameters are exceeded, an alert is issued if the automated control system is unable to provide the required mode of operation.…”

“…Russia is currently undergoing a "rubbish reform" related to the introduction of selective waste collection and clarification of MSW flows. The morphological composition of waste on the example of Perm Krai has been studied earlier from two: small and large groups of settlements of Perm Krai, which is important for the development of technologies for waste sorting [6,7]. In Perm Krai the regional operator for MSW management is "Teploenergo" organization.…”
