Development of an Electrochemical Platform Based on Nanoplate-like Zirconium Phosphate for the Detection of Furazolidone

Abstract: Inorganic nanomaterials have gained significant attention as an efficient electrocatalyst for several electrochemical applications in the past few years. Here, we demonstrate the preparation of hexagonal nanoplate-like zirconium phosphate (ZrP) through a facile hydrothermal technique and its application for the electrochemical detection of furazolidone (FZD). Several characteristic measurements are systematically carried out to confirm the formation of pure-phase ZrP. The hexagonal nanoplate-like ZrP catalyst … Show more

“…The LOD was calculated using the formula: LOD ¼ 3s/S, where s is the standard deviation of the peak current of the sensor in the blank PBS (n ¼ 5), and S is the slope of the calibration curve of NFZ. Though the LOD is not as low as other recent applications incorporating the MOF and other functional materials (Table S3 †), 17,19,21 our Mn-MOF modied electrode showed a more comprehensive linear range for the detection of NFZ. The inuence of potentially interfering substances on the determination of NFZ using the Mn-MOF modied electrode was investigated in Fig.…”

“…α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) based electrocatalysts have been recognized as crucial for numerous electrochemical applications [39]. The sensitive electrochemical sensing probe using the ZrP nanoplates was successfully applied for Furazolidone detection [10]. Figure 4 illustrates surface characterization of ZrP [10].…”
