Development of a Pediatric Fertility Preservation Program: A Report From the Pediatric Initiative Network of the Oncofertility Consortium

Abstract: Implications and Contribution: Evidence from this literature review provides guidance from the Pediatric Initiative Network of the Oncofertility Consortium for health care providers establishing a pediatric fertility preservation program.

“…Several centers have reported early experiences with testicular biopsies for boys before gonadotoxic treatment aiming at FP, 12,[27][28][29][30] as well as a similar high interest from patients and families for participation. [24][25][26] Gupta et al 28 showed that participants considered a potential 25-30% risk for infertility as sufficient reason to undergo testicular biopsy.
