Development of a PCR assay for the detection of human herpes virus type 7

Abstract: A PCR assay has been developed to identify the DNA of the human herpes virus type 7. The search and selection of conserved regions was carried out by comparing the whole genome nucleotide sequences of HHV-7. A fragment duplicated in the HHV-7 genomes was chosen as a target for amplification. The performance of the assay was tested on a synthetic matrix and clinical samples. The developed assay has high sensitivity and specificity and showed good efficiency in detecting HHV-7 DNA in clinical samples.

“…The main method to estimate the quantity of virus number is based on virus in ity, or titer, which is time-consuming and subjective. Some researchers [37] use tra sion electron microscopy (TEM) to quickly observe viruses, but this method is exp In other studies [38], quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was u achieve rapid detection of the virus, but this measured all the genetic material pre the sample, and many virus genomes were not assembled into virus particles, so tection results were not accurate. In this study, five Omicron strains were inactivate the strain with the highest S protein content was screened by Western blot.…”

“…При изучении структуры инфекционного синдрома в качестве наиболее значимых и часто детектируемых этиологических факторов определены бактериальные и вирусные патогены (моно-и коинфекции), что соответствует данным современной литературы [21]. Локализация опосредуемого ими инфекционно-воспалительного процесса весьма разнообразна, но у преобладающего числа пациентов диагностированы инфекционно-воспалительные заболевания и поражение органов респираторного Рис.…”
