Development of a Novel Preclinical Model of Pneumococcal Pneumonia in Nonhuman Primates

Abstract: Pneumococcal pneumonia is a leading cause of bacterial infection and death worldwide. Current diagnostic tests for detecting Streptococcus pneumoniae can be unreliable and can mislead clinical decision-making and treatment.
