The article examines the process of creating and updating digital topographic maps on the example of the Zakupne settlement territorial community of Khmelnytskyi region. Using the "WidsMob Panorama" program, the authors created a mathematical basis for the maps and updated their content according to the current state of the territory, using aerial photos and combined slides of the last year of updating. This made it possible to increase the accuracy of the electronic map, eliminate deformations and scanning errors. The technical project was developed on the basis of digital data, reflecting the location of objects and their grouping by layers, localization and characteristics. The use of metrics of each object on an electronic map with coordinates of points in a two-dimensional format ensured an accurate display of objects and phenomena. Geoinformation mapping, as a key component of research, included the automated creation and use of maps using GIS, mathematical models, and computational methods. This contributed to the creation of electronic maps, 3D images, animations, providing high automation of processes, interactivity and multimedia. Multi-scale mapping made it possible to model the multi-level structure of phenomena and complex systems, which cannot be done using traditional methods. The results of the study demonstrate that digital mapping provides not only high image quality and promptness of its creation, but also long-term storage, multiple use and modern design of cartographic materials to solve the issues of mapping and researching objects, phenomena and processes in the environment by means of cartographic images. The conclusions emphasize the importance of multiscale mapping for the development of a systematic approach in cartography and its impact on the rational use of territories and the solution of important land management and environmental problems. However, economic constraints can complicate the use of high-tech equipment in some organizations, which requires the search for optimal solutions for automating the processes of creating cartographic images.
