Development of a low cost 5-bit Ku-band phase shifter using HJ-FET packaged devices for DBS mobile reception

Abstract: A low profile DBS antenna is a very attractive option for RV and SUV DBS customers. However, for "on the move" services, steerable antennas would be required. Mechanical steering is commonly used, as it is inexpensive, but bulky. Low profile phased array apertures are the desired alternative.
