Abstract:Repetition rate stabilization of a mode-locked laser for generating intense laser-Compton scattering γ-rays has been investigated by means of a phase-locked-loop integral circuit and a microcontroller. The stability of the repetition rate has been improved by more than four orders of magnitude for 3000-s operation compared with that at free-run operation.
