“…The remaining two items are negatively worded spurious items used to detect participant response acquiescence. This newly created questionnaire demonstrated strong model fit with good inter-factor correlations and internal consistency values (Martin et al, 2012). Although these initial results are promising, establishing construct validity is an ongoing process.…”

“…More recently, Eys, Loughead, Bray, and Carron (2009) developed the Youth Sport Environment Questionnaire (YSEQ) for adolescent sport populations (13-17 years). Finally, and of most relevance to the present study, Martin, Carron, Eys, and Loughead (2012) developed the Child Sport Cohesion Questionnaire (CSCQ)-an inventory used to assess cohesion in children's (9-12 years) sport teams.…”

“…[16][17][18][19][20][21] Validated team cohesion instruments that differentiate between adults, adolescents and children already exist in the published literature, yet not many studies have so far considered the relationship between team cohesion and collective efficacy in younger populations. 9,12,22 Hence, team cohesion and collective efficacy relationship in different age stages needs exploration within the context of the relevant age group. In this study, we examined the effects of gender and team tenure on team cohesion, and the relation of collective efficacy to cohesion in youth sport.…”
