Abstract:This paper describes an improvement in creep strength and thermal fatigue and hot corrosion resistance of a cobalt base superalloy developed for the applications of heavy duty gas turbine nozzles. The developed alloy has superior resistance to creep, thermal fatigue and hot corrosion over that of conventional alloys.
The optimization of alloying elements which improve the creep properties and restrain the coarsening of carbides is discussed. A reduction in the volume fraction of eutectic carbide… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
