Abstract:Introduction: Statin-associated muscle symptoms (SAMS) contribute to the nonadherence to statin therapy. In a previous study, we successfully developed a pharmacological SAMS (PSAMS) phenotyping algorithm that distinguishes objective versus nocebo SAMS using structured and unstructured electronic health records (EHRs) data.
