Development and seismic behavior of an assembly composite damping self‐centering brace

Abstract: A new type of assembly composite damping self‐centering brace is proposed to simplify the configuration, reduce the manufacturing cost, and improve its energy dissipation capacity, which is assembled by several modules in parallel with different functions. A brace specimen with a total length of 1.843 m was designed and numerically analyzed.
