Abstract:Free radicals, such as metabolic intermediates, reactive oxygen species, and metal enzymes, are key substances in organisms, although they can also cause various oxidative diseases. Thus, in vivo free radical imaging should be considered as the ultimate form of metabolic imaging. Unfortunately, electron spin resonance (ESR) imaging has inherent disadvantages, such as free radicals with large linewidths generating blurred images and the presence of two or more free radicals resulting in a complicated imaging pr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
