Development and features of natural circulation in a steam generating plant with a direct-flow steam generator

Abstract: The natural circulation of the coolant contributes to the reliability and safety of offshore reactor installations, especially in an emergency situation with a complete de energization of the power plant. In this regard, the use of technical and design solutions for the emergence of natural circulation (EC) is appropriate. The article discusses the properties of the EC, the options for the layout of the reactor plant, the need for the EC, the features of the ramjet steam generator in emergency and normal modes.
