“…The non-ionic surfactants do not contribute any charge to the nanoemulsion particle and this indicates that negative charge particles do not affect the stability of formed nanoemulsion [ 61 ]. Our results also agreed with Kulkarni et al who prepared solid self-nanoemulsifying formulation of Rosuvastatin Calcium and found that the zeta potential values were negative in between −4.93 and −11.8 mV [ 62 ].…”

“…It may be used to reduce the progression of atherosclerosis and for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease (Sweetman, 2009, Nissen et al, 2006, Lennernas and Fager, 1997). Due to its low solubility in water, reported as 0.33 mg/ml (Alshora et al, 2016, Kulkarni et al, 2015), rosuvastatin exhibits poor solubility in gastrointestinal fluids and, with extensive first-pass metabolism, its oral bioavailability is limited to about 20% (Rohini et al, 2014, Scott et al, 2004).

“…The results were in perfect agreement with the previous researchers who prepared stable colloidal system with a low negative zeta potential system. 27,28 The absolute values of zeta potential were lower than the literature which may be attributed to the presence of non-ionic surfactant which sterically stabilizes the system by forming a coat around their surface. For personal use only.…”
