“…One approach for generating avirulent strains is serial passage of pathogenic strains on growth media. Li et al (2015) showed that a serially passaged pathogenic strain of S. agalactiae lost its virulence. Immersion vaccination with live S. agalactiae attenuated vaccine (YM001) gave an RPS of 67.22%.…”

“…Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) with a mean weight of 10.1 g were bathed in 1 × 10 7 CFU mL −1 of the attenuated vaccine for 30 min. At 28 and 240-days post-vaccination (dpv) the fish were challenged with virulent F. johnsoniae M168 by immersion in 1 × 10 7 CFU mL −1 for 30 min [93]. The results showed that fish vaccinated with the attenuated strain had a RPS of 73.1 and 60 when challenged 28 days post-vaccination (dvp) and 240 dpv, respectively, meaning that protection lasted for up to 8 months.…”

“…As a promising prophylaxis, vaccination is commonly considered a major improvement to induce immune protective effects against fish disease (Li et al, 2015; Wang et al, 2016; Zhang, Li, et al, 2018; Zhu et al, 2017). Our previous study showed that the MCP gene of LBUSV could be used as an antigen for DNA vaccine constructs, with the highest protection rate of 61.11% in largemouth bass (Jia et al, 2020a).…”

“…As reported, Massilia is often isolated from some extreme environments and can produce polyhydroxyalkanoate ; while Flavobacterium spp. often isolated from water or plants shows resistance to multiple antibiotics such as rifampicin and streptomycin . In addition, Cellvibrio , Methylotenera , Candidatus_Amoebophilus , Emticicia , Leadbetterella , Arcicella , and Aureispira were only detected as the metabolically active genera in Hygroamblystegium noterophilum .…”
