The positive impact of urban green space on human mental health and well-being has become a consensus in the fields of environment and health research. Due to the increasing pressure faced by contemporary university students and the worsening mental crises, university campus green space, as a particular type of urban green space, have received increasing attention. This study reviews the evidence on the effects of university campus green space on students' mental health and well-being. A systematic search of WOS databases yielded 715 articles, of which 25 articles were included in the review. We extracted useful information from 25 studies. By summarizing and analysing the information, three main questions involving each step of an ecosystem services framework on nature and mental health were addressed. In terms of natural and environmental features, there was adequate evidence for association between landscape types and subjective landscape quality and mental health and well-being, while evidence for association between objective landscape quality and mental health and well-being was inadequate. In terms of exposure, there was adequate evidence for association between visit frequency and mental health and well-being. In terms of experience, evidence for association between types of activity and mental health and well-being was limited. University campus green space has positive associations with students' mental health and wellbeing (perceived restoration, increased positive emotion and lower negative emotion). Future research needs to develop more effective and robust landscape quality assessment instruments and use stronger research designs to improve the strength of evidence.

Con el fin de valorar un entorno acústico frente a la pandemia del virus infeccioso COVID-19 detectado por primera vez en diciembre de 2019, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar y evaluar el comportamiento acústico de un corredor urbano con su espacio verde comunitario en la ciudad de San Miguel de Tucumán, mediante el estudio de ciertas variables sonoras, ambientales y sociales, en el contexto de Aislamiento Social Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO). Se adoptó el método exploratorio y el descriptivo, analítico-deductivo, y el estudio de caso. Se utilizaron paradigmas cuantitativos mediante relevamiento y mediciones sonoras en 15 puntos determinados en el sector con instrumental según normativas y paradigmas cualitativos, con encuestas a usuarios de dichos espacios. Se concluyó que los niveles de ruido obtenidos, fueron superiores a los que recomienda la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), aún en el contexto de crisis sanitaria y con restricción de actividades.

Kulangsu is a famous scenic area in China and a World Heritage Site. It is important to obtain knowledge with regard to the status of soundscape and landscape resources and their interrelationships in Kulangsu before it became a World Heritage. The objective of this study was to explore the spatial dependency of the soundscapes in Kulangsu, based on the spatiotemporal dynamics of soundscape and landscape perceptions, including perceived sound sources, soundscape quality, and landscape satisfaction degree, and the spatial landscape characteristics, including the distance to green spaces, normalized difference vegetation index, and landscape spatial patterns. The results showed that perception of soundscape and landscape were observed in significant spatiotemporal dynamics, and the dominance of biological sounds in all sampling periods and human sounds in the evening indicated that Kulangsu scenic area had a good natural environment and a developed night-time economy, respectively. The green spaces and commercial lands may contribute to both the soundscape pleasantness and eventfulness. Moreover, the soundscape quality was dependent on the sound dominant degree and landscape satisfaction degree but not on the landscape characteristics. The GWR model had better goodness of fit than the OLS model, and possible non-linear relationships were found between the soundscape pleasantness and the variables of perceived sound sources and landscape satisfaction degree. The GWR models with spatial stationarity were found to be more effective in understanding the spatial dependence of soundscapes. In particular, the data applied should ideally include a complete temporal dimension to obtain a relatively high fitting accuracy of the model. These findings can provide useful data support and references for future planning and design practices, and management strategies for the soundscape resources in scenic areas and World Heritage Sites.
