Abstract-The purpose of this study was to design a network-based peer evaluation strategy -which included two types of peer evaluation (known and unknown) to investigate the effect of these two types on developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills for students in Java object oriented programming language course (OOP). The participants of this study were twenty-four (n=24) students at College of Science and Arts, Qassim university. The results revealed that the two types of peer evaluation (in both known and unknown) had a positive effect on developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills for students. After, the comparison between the post-application of the two experimental groups in the problem solving and critical thinking skills, although there is a slightly higher between mean ranks in the sake of the unknown group, the results showed that there were no significant differences between the two groups. Finally, the researcher recommended to using a network-based peer evaluation strategy with other specializations and a large sample.

Ju r n a l M a t e m a t i k a K r e a t i f -I n o v a t i f AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berpikir reflektif siswa SMP dalam pemecahan masalah pecahan ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu, satu siswa laki-laki dan satu siswa perempuan di kelas VIIB SMPN 2 Kodeoha. Pengambilan data dimulai dengan memberikan tes kemampuan matematika untuk mendapatkan subjek yang berkemampuan tinggi, kemudian memperhatikan perbedaan gender. Setelah itu, memberikan tugas pemecahan masalah pecahan dan melakukan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, subjek laki-laki melakukan reacting, elaborating dan contemplating pada tahap memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana dan memeriksa kembali dalam pemecahan masalah pecahan. Sedangkan, subjek perempuan melakukan reacting, elaborating dan contemplating pada tahap memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana dan memeriksa kembali dalam pemecahan masalah pecahan. Namun, pada tahap menyusun rencana, subjek perempuan melakukan contemplating hanya sebatas meyakini tanpa mempertimbangkan berdasarkan pengalamannya dalam pemecahan masalah pecahan. Scientific inquiry and project-based learning can foster the ability to think, work, and be scientific and communicate it as an important aspect of Life Skills. Science learning emphasizes the provision of direct learning experience through the use and development of process skills and scientific attitudes, so as to empower the high thinking ability of Elementary School Pre-Service Teacher (ESPT). The aim of this study to determine the competence profile of high-order thinking skills (HOTS) ability of 120 pre-service teachers in science materials at Universitas Sebelas Maret. Sources of data in the form of scores of test results of high order thinking skills that have been validated and tested its reliability. High order thinking skills tests include creative thinking skills and analyzing processes. The technique of data retrieval is done by giving written test instrument in the form of stuffing to the student, then corrected level of truth of answer based on predetermined criteria. The ESPT improvement on creative thinking skills can be seen from the average of N-Gain. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. This study shows that the competence of preservice teachers in HOTS has a mean of 33.2% (40 ESPT). This indicates that the high thinking skills of prospective elementary teachers are medium category, but still needed improvement on certain materials.
