Waqf land can be a factor in the economic wellbeing of the community if it is managed productively. At the same time, it is necessary to determine the best financing model to manage waqf land because waqf institutions are constrained by the absence of funds to produce waqf assets. This paper aims to describe the financing models that can be applied in the development of productive waqf land, as well as find the most effective financing model for productive waqf land. Financing that reduces the risk of loss needs to be considered by waqf institutions in choosing the right financing model. Waqf management aims to properly run and increase the waqf properties' value while fostering the culture of waqf for the good of the community. In most Muslim nations, the government is in charge of overseeing the management of waqf properties to varying degrees. However, communities have built-in claims on the issues that affect them, including the usage of waqf properties. Therefore, in every activity, including the management of waqf, are all for the sake of Allah (lillahi ta'ala).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan Unit Pengumpul Zakat (UPZ) dalam meningkatkan pengumpulan zakat di BAZNAS Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dokumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan pengelolaan dana zakat dan hasil wawancara dengan Bidang Pengumpulan BAZNAS Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis dengan mengacu kepada PERBAZNAS Nomor 2 Tahun 2016 tentang Pembentukan dan Tata Kerja Unit Pengumpul Zakat. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa UPZ memiliki peranan penting dalam peningkatan pengumpulan dana zakat di BAZNAS Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah zakat yang terkumpul dari tahun ke tahun setelah terbentuknya UPZ di beberapa unit, baik dari instansi vertikal maupun OPD yang ada di lingkungan Pemerintahan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Hal tersebut juga didukung dengan meningkatnya tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Organisasi Pengelola Zakat di Sumatera Barat.

<p>This article aims to analyze the governance of ZISWAF in philanthropic institutions placed in hospitals. Hospitals are health facilities that are often not affordable for the underprivileged. Some cases of displaced patients because they do not have funds to get health services in hospitals often occur. Islamic philanthropy in hospitals is vital to address this issue. This research is qualitative, with the location of three hospitals in Ponorogo, namely RSU 'Aisyiyah, RSU Muhammadiyah, and RSU Muslimat. The informant of this study is the manager of Islamic philanthropy. In addition, data is also collected from recipient patients and donors. The results showed that Islamic philanthropy in the three hospitals was carried out by philanthropic institutions affiliated with community organizations. At 'Aisyiyah and Muhammadiyah Hospital, philanthropy is managed by the Lazismu Service Office. Meanwhile, at Muslimat Hospital, philanthropy is managed by JP-ZIS NU Care. Philanthropic governance in the three hospitals can be divided into two models: integrated Islamic philanthropy institution and external Islamic philanthropy institution.</p>
