Developing a Supervisory Controller for Hybrid Power System: Fernando de Noronha Island Case

Abstract: This paper presents the development of a supervisory controller and the main challenges of integrating wind and solar energy into an existing grid with 100% diesel generation. The supervisory controller has been developed for keeping the safety and stability of the network a R&D project financed by the Utility CELPE.
