Developing a Multidisciplinary Approach to the COPD Care Pathway

Abstract: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized as a predominately preventable and treatable inflammatory lung disease caused by progressive obstructed airflow from the lungs. In the United States and worldwide, it is becoming a major cause in hospital admissions as well as an increase in morbidity and mortality.
