This study aims to describe the application of science in the kindergarten. The form activity is disaster mitigation. This activity is located at Kindergarten IT Auladuna, Bengkulu City. The aspects studied are planning, implementation and assessment of disaster mitigation education lessons. The research method used is a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach using the Epoche procedure. The research subjects were conducted by purposive sampling, namely principals, teachers, employees, and students. Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis used interactive model analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. In addition, data triangulation and method triangulation were also carried out. The result of the research is that Kindergarten IT Auladuna Bengkulu City has organized flood, fire, earthquake disaster mitigation which is integrated in related themes such as air, fire, water, recreation and the relevant environment. The implementation of this implementation is based on the syllabus in the disaster mitigation module circulated by BNPB. The outline of the mitigation is 1) introducing children about disasters 2) introducing the consequences of disasters 3) introducing actions when a disaster occurs 4) introducing preventive measures when a disaster does not occur.

The issue of mitigating natural disasters in various regions that the Baribis Fault passes is a matter of great importance, given the significant physical damage and loss of life that can result from such events. However, existing studies have tended to focus on the empirical aspects of such disasters resulting from the movement of the Baribis Fault, neglecting the fundamental cultural dimensions involved. Moreover, these studies have failed to recognize disaster mitigation resulting from the Baribis Fault as a socio-cultural issue that requires careful cultural analysis. To address these limitations, this study aims to investigate the strategies employed by local communities to cope with the difficulties caused by Baribis Fault-related disasters. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted on a range of cultural strategies that have been used to mitigate disasters in relevant areas. These cultural strategies were selected based on the criteria of locally based traditional oral and written knowledge, obtained through intensive interviews. The study reveals that technological and earth science solutions are not always sufficient to resolve disasters resulting from Baribis Fault activity, and that local culture and knowledge also play a crucial role in disaster mitigation. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of how cultural strategies employed by local communities can help to avoid disasters caused by the Baribis Fault, and highlights the need for a transformation of local knowledge regarding effective cultural strategies for mitigating such disasters. This transformation can have positive psychological implications and enhance community harmony.

One of the disasters that often occur in coastal areas is abrasion. Abrasion causes coastal dynamics, including the East Coast of Rembang, Kragan Village, Kragan District, Rembang Regency. From 1975 to 1990, at least 50 meters of land from this area has been lost due to abrasion. This dynamic may become one of the causes of unsustainable management of the coastal environment and its natural resources. Various efforts have been made to overcome abrasion, but abrasion continues to hit this area, even until 2020. Qualitative and quantitative approaches were carried out in this study to discover the coast dynamics and various human activities that may trigger abrasion. Image interpretation, observation, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques at three observation points in the Kragan Village area. This study concludes that the beach in Kragan Village has experienced dynamics with a total land loss of 46 meters from 2003 to 2020. Harmful activities carried out by humans resulted in abrasion so that the coast experienced dynamics. Human activities also affect coastal management, namely the basic principles of integrated coastal management and processes in the management of coastal areas.
