They predicted that the species ArD + , OD + , HD + , and D 2 + (at m / z 42, 18, 3, and 4 respectively) were sufficiently present at T = 5000 K to make them useful for determination of D. After optimisation of the operating conditions, calibration curves were constructed for ions at m / z 4 and 42 using mixtures of D-depleted (with 1 ppm D) and D-enriched (99.96 atom% D) waters.…”
