“…Gondwana was covered by glaciers in the Early Permian, implying that the Baoshan Block had a close affinity to Gondwana (Jin, 2002; Zhang et al, 2013). However, whether it was India (Li, Chen, et al, 2015; Wang et al, 2017; Xing & Zhang, 2016; Zhao, Feng, et al, 2017; Zhou et al, 2020) or West Australia (Agematsu & Sashida, 2009; Dopieralska et al, 2012; Cai et al, 2015; Li, Wang, et al, 2015; Metcalfe & Aung, 2014) from where the Baoshan Block was rifted remains unsolved. The Lancang Block is located to the east of the Changning‐Menglian ophiolite belt and is separated from the Lincang island arc by the newly‐discovered Yunxian‐Menghai ophiolite belt.…”
