Abstract:Acute mental stress can impair arterial function (e.g., arterial stiffness and endothelial function) transiently. Repeated exposures to stress-induced transient vascular dysfunction in daily life potentially leads to persistent vascular dysfunction, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
