Determining the Source Location of Groundwater Contamination by Weierstrass’ Polynomial Approximation

Abstract: This study proposes a new technique, based on Weierstrass’ polynomial approximation to determine the source location of chemical contaminants and their concentration in groundwater. Validation of the technique with a previous study showed that its results were almost identical (0.2 percent difference).
