Determining the Effects of the Rate of Firing and Rapid and Slow Cooling on the Physical Properties of Fireclay Refractories*

Abstract: This investigation determined that the rate of firing, as specified in the standard test for the firing behavior of fireclay refractories, could be reduced without materially affecting the accuracy of the data obtained.
