Determination Trace Levels of Vitamin C and Folic Acid in Urine Sample by Ultrasound-Assisted Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Method Coupled HPLC-UV

Abstract: A new, rapid and highly sensitive and rapid method was proposed for the simultaneous determination trace levels of vitamin C and folic acid in the human urine samples. The inûuence affecting factors on the UA-DLLME such as type and volume of the dispersive and extraction solvent, pH, ionic strength and temperature of sample solution, sonication condition investigated and optimized. Under the optimized extractions, relative standard deviations (RSD) of the analyses less than 6% (n= 3) and detection limit of 1.6… Show more

“…The colorimetric change during XTT assay, expressed as OD, was measured using a microtiter plate reader at A505 [40]. Higher OD values indicate an increased number of surviving candida in the biofilm.…”

“…On the other hand, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) has several different functions in humans and other mammals. In addition to its well-known role as an antioxidant, the vitamin serves as a co-factor in several important enzymatic reactions, including synthesis of catecholamines, carnitine, cholesterol, amino acids, and certain peptide hormones (Akbari et al 2016;Animoku et al 2018). Of course, its bestknown function is to facilitate the hydroxylation of proline and lysine residues in collagen, allowing proper intracellular folding of pro-collagen for export and deposition as mature collagen (Padayatty and Levine 2016).…”

“…In this way, all microorganisms are killed without causing pathogenesis. In plasma sterilization, in addition to killing bacteria, dead bacteria are removed from the surface of the material due to a process similar to that of plasma engraving [12][13][14].…”
