“…Thus, given the importance of phosphate fertilizers, we are interested in this study in the influence of the presence of an electrolyte salt on the physicochemical properties of alkali metal phosphates. The aim of this study is to investigate some physicochemical properties for the mixture of KBr and KH 2 PO 4 in aqueous solutions by the hygrometric method at the temperature of 298.15 K. Water activities were measured for various ionic-strength fractions y of KH 2 PO 4 ( y = I KBr /[ I KH2PO4 + I KBr ]) of 0, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, and 1, with the total molality between 0.1 mol·kg –1 and saturation. “…In the present work we have determined the water activity, osmotic coefficient, and saturation point of an aqueous solution of K 2 HPO 4 / d -sucrose/water mixtures, in the K 2 HPO 4 concentration range of 0.1 to 6.0 mol·kg –1 , and the d -sucrose molality varying from 0.1 to 6.0 mol·kg –1 . These data are obtained by measuring the relative humidities of the K 2 HPO 4 / d -sucrose/water mixture using the hygrometric method that we developed in our previous works. Crystalline solids formed from supersaturated water/ d -sucrose/KDP with varying sucrose and K 2 HPO 4 concentrations can be detected using ATR-FTIR and X-ray methods. To determine the remaining thermodynamic properties of this aqueous mixture, we used the widely employed CSP model for calculating the activity coefficient and phase equilibria of electrolyte systems.…”
