“…Following the method of [31], the extract was analyzed using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Total nitrogen (N) from the experimental soil sample was determined following the standard Kjeldahl process [32]. Extractable potassium (K) determination was carried out through a flame photometer, and phosphorus (P) was measured by a sodium bicarbonate solution, which is called Olsen P [33] (see Table 1).…”

“… Chlorophyll a, b and β-carotene contents were determined according to the protocol devised by [14].  Nitrogen was determined by Micro-Kjeldahl method according to the procedure described by [12].  Phosphorus was determined colorimetrically using ascorbic acid method [12].…”

“…Very recently two new methods based on siSVR-near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) ( Salgó and Gergely, 2012 ) and hyperspectral imaging ( Caporaso et al., 2018 ) have been reported for the determination of protein content in wheat but these methods show low measurement precision that is higher impact of random errors which lowers the quality of measuring process ( Mihaljev et al., 2015 ). Ion chromatography (IC) is an established technique for the determination of nitrogen species in different matrices like vaccines ( Wang et al., 2016 ), uranium alloys ( Verma et al., 2007 ), food ( Jackson et al., 1991 ), water samples ( De Borba et al., 2014 ), and sediments ( Colina and Gardiner, 1999 ). In IC analysis, nitrogen content of samples has to be converted into ionic species; ammonium, nitrate or nitrite ions.…”
