“…Considering these practical difficulties, a purely instrumental method, which does not require sample dissolution, is desirable for the determination of Pt in the refractory alumina matrix. X-ray uorescence (XRF) 8,13,14 and neutron activation analysis (NAA) 10,15 have been established as very efficient and versatile analytical techniques for the direct analysis of solids.
