Vse ostale ciklične in neciklične spremembe zemeljskega magnetnega polja kot tudi vsi ostali vplivi Sonca na Zemljo niso vključeni v geomagnetni indeks K (Mayaud, 1980;Čop, Deželjin in De Reggi, 2015).
