Determination of Iodide as an Organic Derivative by Gas‐Chromatography

Abstract: A simple and specific method is described for the analysis of iodide in trace proportions. The method is based on the reaction of iodide with pentafluorobenzyl 5‐dimethylamino‐1‐naphthalenesulfonate.in a biphasic system. The resulting derivative was determined on a gas chromatograph with a flame‐ionization detector.
