Abstract:RationaleChlorothalonil (CHT), a broad‐spectrum fungicide, has been employed widely to control foliar diseases, whereas with a major metabolite of polar 4‐hydroxychlorothalonil (CHT‐4‐OH), only an acceptable nonpolar CHT residue is allowed by most countries.
