Determination of alpha_s from lattice QCD

Abstract

The accuaracy of strong coupling constant α s is further improved by the high-precision caculation of lattice QCD with Monte-Carlo simulation including the dynamical light (up and down) and strange quarks. I explain recent lattice determination of α s using vacuum polarization function computed in dynamical overlap fermion configurations. I also review some other recent results and discuss the future perspective.
